The answer is yes, but its not the best one in the world. Chiltons makes a 1990-98 volvo repair manual, covering all Volvos made during that time, including the 960. My local Barnes and Noble has it, and I browsed through it. It does have information, wiring guides, etc. It just isn't as step-by-step as I would like (the same criticism I have of the Chilton's 240 repair manual). But it is better than no manual. Chilton's publishes a basic maintenance guide for all 90-93 RWD Volvos that has some limited information on the B6300 engine and AW30-40 transmission. Costs around $20 but may be found in used bookstores for less. The alternative is the individual Volvo manuals, each costing around $30+, for subsystems on the car. Buy them only as you need them. The ONE Volvo OEM manual everyone should have is their wiring diagram book for your car, costing about $25, from the Volvo tech literature source noted.

Good question. I have it all stashed away on my hard drive, awaiting time to format it correctly using a real Web program, Dreamweaver. Jarrod has been patiently waiting. Given my 28 hours per day, eight days per week schedule, this has been tough. But: I think the motivation may be at hand. Give me about three weeks.

If you have a good relationship with your Volvo parts guy and you order a big portion of the Volvo manual set at one time he may split his profit with you? Mine did, so I got the full set for about $100 less than the list price.

(I figure I'm about even money wise at this point since I have undertaken several procedures with their support. Obviously I don't count working for my self as a cost but as a savings. With taxes, saving a $1.00 is the same as trying to earn $1.30 or so.) Additionally, I enjoy the learning involved.

Don't expect any feedback that your order was accepted or processed... your manuals just arrive a few days after you place your order.

Sadly, volume of production was so low, compounded by the fact that the typical Luxo-Volvo owner doesn't even know where the engine IS, means there is zero profit in publishing a book.

You can still order service manuals thru Volvo. They are expensive, but you can purchase them one section at a time.
