For a Momo hub adapter, click the link below and look under Performance Parts. Near the bottom of the section I have a link to a place that lists it on their website, but I have not confirmed if they actually can get one. Also, check with ultraperformance.com.

Good luck.

Re: new steering wheel 200 1982

If you have a dl with the large wheel just installing a smaller gl wheel makes a heluva difference in handling and road feel. I've swapped out a few of thes and it's like driving a new car. I even did it on a couple of my 740's, took out the large wheel and out in the smaller airbag wheel. Tom Wasney 240aholic

Re: new steering wheel 200 1982

What's needed are Grant or Momo hub adapters. The bad news is that it's just about impossible to find Momo-Volvo 200 adapters. The good news is that Grant-Volvo adapters are available, and that now there are Volvo-Grant-Momo adapters being sold. This adapter mates a Momo wheel to a Grant hub.

Try places that sell Grant wheels, such as Pep Boys.

hey on the grant web site www.grantproducts.com when i put in the car type it says that a kit is unavailable. And when i went on O'Reilly auto parts' web site they did not list it either.

Re: new steering wheel 200 1982

Uh oh, you're right. Looks like my info is already outdated. However, as I think they were made up to pretty recently, you may be able to find a kit in some store's stockroom. The same goes for a Momo kit, but they are pretty darn rare.

Put out the word that you want one. Maybe you should pick out your wheel 1st, or find out if each kit fits all the wheels of that maker. Do a web search for Grant, Momo and Volvo Accesories and call/e-mail them ALL. From my experience - some will say that they can order them, when in fact, their request will never be filled because Momo (for ex.) will require 100 requests before they will manufacture any more. (Profit opprtunity here?)

Anyhow, good luck. I found mine through Martin Motorsport, e-mail martinmotorsport@juno.com. I prolly got the last, but give 'em a try.

Re: new steering wheel 200 1982

Also kinda wierd; I bought a used Momo and hub out of a mid 70's 240 and installed it in an '83. The hub must have a different offset, because this wheel is moved closer to the dash (my fingers now hit the turn signal lever).

So watch out - 70's and 80's are not all alike!

Re: new steering wheel 200 1982

You will need a 27mm, deep socket to remove the old wheel too. Some of the 240's need a puller, but I think it is for the pre '79 models.
