0-60 speed 900 1992

Anyone know the 0-60 speed on a 1992 960 sedan.

I don't know the "official" time, but I did a couple runs just using the the speedo and a stopwatch. Running 93 octane it did 0-60 in 8 seconds after 130K miles. I'm not sure what the top speed is, but it was still accelerating at 125mph when my brain caught up with my foot and I backed off.

Can't remember for sure but I think the published number is between 8.7 and 8.9 seconds. Your example may vary! The car is geared quite high and it only uses two gears to get to 60. It has a good drag coefficient and can cruise at 100 for hours on end. 60 to 90 times are good for freeway maneuvers.
