Help me find a part number? 200 1983

I really need to locate the part number for either the fresh air hose, or the air intake hose. It runs between the AMM and the intake manifold on a 1983 242 GLT Turbo.

If anyone knows this part number, it would be apperciated.

If you are talking about the large hat/hose that goes on top of the volumeter to the turbo inlet elbow the part number is 1346989-5.

Re: Help me find a part number? 200 1983

Well....er no that does not sound like the part. This hose is on the left (drivers side/US). I'll try a little bit bettter to describe it starting from the intercooler. So from the intercooler there is a 2" gasket/hose which the AMM fits into, starting on the other side of the AMM starts a length of hose about 15" in length which connects directly to the intake manifold. It has about a 3" diameter.

Hopefully that will clear things up a bit more, or just confuse everyone more either way.

Re: Help me find a part number? 200 1983

Jeff,

I'm going to assume that you are mistaken about the air mass meter and presume that you are talking about the intake air ducting hose. If your car is intercooled then there is a short hose off the intercooler like you describe and then there is a metal pipe with a small hose going across to the waste gate. Then the long flexible black hose that connects to the intake elbow on the manifold. The part number for this flexible hose is

8360970. Its about 15" long like you describe and all the stuff I described

is on the drivers side.

Re: Help me find a part number? 200 1983

Jeffery:

If your car has an AMM the fuel system has been changed over from a CI system to a LH type system. If that is the case, you're pretty much on your own for the hoses. The placement of the AMM between an intercooler and the intake is rather bizarre. In standard installations on late models they are in front of the turbo reading atmospheric pressure and not behind it reading pressurized air.
