A/C conversion to rotary style/?s 200 83glt

Good morning all,

Ive got to replace my York on my 244 and have the unit from later 240 with all th brackets. Here's my question...

Do I need the p/s unit from the newer unit or can I just bolt the existing unit on top of the new rotary compressor.Uninstalling and installing the brackets and such is not that big of a deal, but swapping out p/s units seems like it might(fittings and all).

Thanks

RR

Re: A/C conversion to rotary style/?s 200 83glt

I have replaced a York with a rotary in the past. I did use a bracket designed to fit right where the York goes, so the only thing different was the belt length. I got the bracket from Hancock Industries. Did have to modify the bracket to get the proper tracking of the belt. Hose connections had to be modified. Believe it ended up being only one connection. Just takes some time and patience. You can get hancockindustries.com on the web to check it out.
