Frontend Rebuild (Where to buy Parts) 900 94

Our '94 940's frontend is in need of struts & ball joints, at the very least. I'm thinking of do the whole thing (bushings, springs, tie rod's etc) since we're keeping the car. It's got around 100k miles on it & runs great. looking for "one stop shopping". Recommendations? Also, since I'm going to have to do this in my drive & Nashville weather is so unpredictable this time of year, I was thinking of buying struts & carts with new springs all ready to go. Bad idea? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Frontend Rebuild (Where to buy Parts) 900 94

Hi Kevin

Is that near Mt. Pilot?

Thanks guys, for the tip on FCP Groton. I haven't been around here for a while so I probably would have headed straight to IPD. I appreciate all the tips. The only thing I might do to save some time (certainly not money) is buy struts & carts with the springs already loaded. Thanks again.

Murph

If you are keeping the car, then replace all at once everything that is suspect now or for the near future. Less labor if done this way. You can get all OEM and aftermarket parts at really very low prices at

www.fcpgroton.com

Re: Frontend Rebuild (Where to buy Parts) 900 94

Try fcpgroton.com. I just got outer tie rod ends, rack boots, balljoints, sway bar links, and rear control arm bushings for around $100 total. NAPA wanted $40 each just for tie rod ends! Be sure to get the strut rod bushings as well if you have not recently replaced them. You should be able to do everything on the front end (except shocks/struts)for $150 in parts if you use fcpgroton.com.

BTW, their prices for shocks/struts are great as well.
