I have been negotiating with a few Volvo parts suppliers in hope of finding an alternative to Dealer parts prices.

The concept is a mail order basis at close to wholesale prices. If I order your parts on my account and distribute them, we can get substantial savings. I’m expecting to be given the OK for a trial period soon. If during this trial period the volume of parts is to the suppliers’ liking, additional discounts may be available.

Depending on the response I receive from fellow bricksters HERE I may or may not go ahead with this plan.

It may take a month or so to get things going.

Q #1 What is your average spending on parts for the maintenance and repair of your Volvo?
Monthly?…… Yearly?…….

Q #2 Are you willing to wait 7 - 10 days to receive parts?…..

Q#1: I bought a 1990 745 gle 16 valve last summer and plan to spend about $1000 per year on routine stuff + tidying it up. Last summer the a/c went so in the first 6 months I am in $2500. Hope to (ie insist on) dropping back to the planned $1000 per year.

Q#2: timing is not critical since it is a third car until I finish fixing.
