K and N conical filter 700 1990

I would like to replace my stock airbox and square airfilter with an aftermarket k and N conical filter and home jobber the heatsheild/airbox. What is the correct size to get for the K and N filter and is there a good internet source?

Summit Racing's website (www.summitracing.com) is a good source for K&Ns. There are several styles to choose from. As far as size goes, you probably want one with a 3-in. opening. The length of the filter will be up to you and the room you have - probably 5 to 6 inches. Check out K&N's website (there is a link to it on Summit's page). The K&N site will show you how the dimensions are measured on the filter (ie, flanges, diameters, etc.) and the corresponding part numbers for the type you need.
