Parts for my 544 444-544

Im looking for the pushrod asembley for the master cylinder and also left fender skirt inside the engine compartment. Any questions about 544's or comments please fill free to e-mail me, as for Im redoing my hole car. These are a couple of things I have done allready. Aftermarket mastercylinders and hydrolic clutch, to a Ford nine inch rearend. Custom built but easy to do a new instrament cluster using carbon fiber Autometer gauges. Installing a M-45 Transmission on a B-20, and so on. I hope to have a site going within the next month or so showing pictures as it progresses.
Thanks, Shawn

Shawn--Scandcar, Swedish Classics, Swedish Treasures, (all have websites) or a nice rust-free Arizona Volvo junkyard would all be good sources for the M/C linkage...I have one on a '61 parts car which may turn out to be available, depending on how my own brake mods develop. What are you setting up with those aftermarket mastercylinders? Be sure to post a link to the site when it's up--and next time put a few more sexy words like "Ford 9 inch rear end" in your subject line for quicker responses! --Nate

Hey Nathan, thanks for responding. I just got done scratching my head for the past couple of weeks on hoe to put in a functional hydraulic clutch system in my car. The end result will be a clutch cable from a 700. This will make thing a lot more easy for me and alot less money involved. The clutch cable also end up lasting quit abit longer. As for as sey words like Ford nine inch in a 544 iv got a lot more of those mods coming up on my web site.

Thanks

Ya know its funny, alot of people have forewarned me that the people on this site are purists, thats funny. I have put so much work into this car to make it the way I want not the way you guys want it. If you people want to ignore me thats fine because there is a lot of other real Volvo lovers out there that want alittle more out of there cars than what Volvo intended. Feel free to respond to that.

You know, I never heard that. As far as I've been able to tell most of the Brickboard folks use their classics as reliable daily drivers and are all for upgrades and anything to make a classic quicker, nimbler, and more reliable. I've been using my '64 PV as a daily driver for the last 3 years and am only now getting ready to take it off the road and really start working on it. I'm planning on putting a 5-speed (or 4 + OD)tranny, a tuned B20, and twin Weber DCOE 45s on it, as well as 142 seats, a 123GT tach and updated seat belts (and anything else I think of along the way). I've already upgraded the suspension quite a bit and converted to front discs, electronic ignition, and a GM alternator. Although the engine is tired it's been a reliable car since day one. There's a wealth of great info here from some extremely smart folks, and I encourage you to make full use of it. I know I have....

There is a lady who hangs out on the Opinions board and who goes by the name "C.A." I believe she has one of those cars and may have some advice for you.

Let us know when the site is up.
