electrical short which comes and goes 700 1987

hello, i have posted before with this problem and have gotten many good ideas that i have tried but the problem is back again to haunt the old wagon. the problem is a short on fuse number 9 (15 amp) which is turn signals, heater fan,a/c compressor and other functions which have been disconnected. if anyone has had a similar problem or knows how to trouble shoot this i would appreciate it. thanks

Trace the harnesses connected to fuse 9 into the engine compartment and look for chaffing wires with loose insulation. Just because you disconnected the a/c doesn't mean the wire can't ground out. 1987 cars suffered from rotten wiring harnesses in the engine area.
