Fun on the Highway tonight 200

After seeing some Honda Civics come behind me on the highway tonight, i was already goin 75... so I figured why not have a little fun. Turned off the overdrive and was pullin away from the lead guy, and i think i pissed him off. After I hit about 105 turned the OD back on and kept pulling away and i could hear the guys exhaust, which was too damn loud for that small of a car! But I had some fun in my 91 240 SE wagon tonight:) What does the performance exhaust that IPD selling for the non-turbo engines sound like? And what, if any, perforamce do you get from it? Can you feel a difference?

How easy is it to put in the performance CAM? and what company would i get the best for my money? I don't want to spend a lot of money. How much can I expect from the new CAM performance wise? Will I be able to piss off more Civics :) ?

Kevin

not sure who'll you'll P.O. - but I put in the VX cam from IPD with the adjustable can gear and their HP exhaust for about $600, I think... I *have* surprised a couple of 5 and 7-series Bimmers by still accelerating over 90 mph. Not that I outran them... but I think to them a 245 doing 90+ is like a Learjet seeing a J-3 Cub at 30,000 feet.

Try this site: www.turbobricks.org. They have some good info on mods even some for non-turbo. You can also try searching the aftermarket index.

It is louder and you won't really feel a difference unless you install a hotter cam. Its not as loud as stupid ricemobiles though. It's only 2.25" piping, too. Just get a custom system made, 2.5" catback. If you can afford mandrel bends, all the better...

Hi Roguls:
Is there anywhere one could buy 2.5" stainless tubing so my muffler shop could make a custom system?
Or do they have it themselves?
Thanks,
el Raidman

If the muffler shop doesn't have it, they should be able to get it. Otherwise, you can get it from Jeg's or Summit, I believe, and even from JC whitney. They sell straight sections and mandrel bends.
