A/C Water Condensate Drain Help Needed 700

Can anyone share any tricks for locating, and then clearing the drain tubes from the evaporator to the outside of the firewall on my 1990 740?

It's just above the frame rail on the passenger side. You will see a small black thing. Use your shop vac.

I was thinking I had to tackle this drainage thing from the inside. Suddenly occurred to me that I should be going for the unblock from the outside (engine compartment). Most people have described a hole surrounded by black plastic. Well mine has a black tube coming from the drain hole. I straightened out a wire hanger and gently shved it up there. WHOOSH! Something came unplugged and a pint of water came gushing out. Tube is clear, water drips from it like it should, blower motor is dry, life is good...for now.

Good, now lube the motor and you'll be all set.
