Raising the boost on a 760 700

Are there any fairly cheap and easy to install devices that can be used to raise the boost on my 760 turbo ? If anyone knows of any vendors sites with such things please post the links. Thank You.

Raising the boost on a 760 700

I had an HKS electronic boost controller but I was unable to mount it close enough to the turbo to prevent boost spikes. I had it set for 12 psi but with 14 inches of hose between the controller and the waste gate meant that I would hit the over boost sensor and I would loose fuel. I installed the Dawes Device and was able to put it within 4 inches of the turbo. No spikes and no fuss. Best 40 bucks I ever spent. Although I do miss being able to set it from the cockpit, I sure don't miss the spikes. I have no problems recommending a Dawes Device with the caveat that you have done all the recommended steps (Stage 0) on McBroom’s site before adding boost.

Ahh, early cheap version of the boost control valve, hard to adjust and not gated meaning less low rpm performance, interesting though, looks a bit to much like a home made prototype for my tastes, kind of like the originals that started the craze.

Best and easist way to increase boost is to buy a boost control valve, apart from being able to increase over all boost, they improve boost at the bottom end, meaning even if you set the valve low you still get a general power inrease (more boost) at low revs, meaning less turbo lag.

Be warned though, use only the best fuel if you plan on using one, or you can distroy your engine, and you won't be able to go higher than 14psi either, because that's when the fuel cut out cuts in on 700 turbos.

The above link is to an Australian made unit, at $107 Aus for the base model, it's prity cheap, but there are probally US made units where you are that are just as cheap.
