Raising the boost on a 760 700

I had an HKS electronic boost controller but I was unable to mount it close enough to the turbo to prevent boost spikes. I had it set for 12 psi but with 14 inches of hose between the controller and the waste gate meant that I would hit the over boost sensor and I would loose fuel. I installed the Dawes Device and was able to put it within 4 inches of the turbo. No spikes and no fuss. Best 40 bucks I ever spent. Although I do miss being able to set it from the cockpit, I sure don't miss the spikes. I have no problems recommending a Dawes Device with the caveat that you have done all the recommended steps (Stage 0) on McBroom’s site before adding boost.
