Vapor/Smoke/Fog coming from heater 200 1991

It's that time of year in Minnesota, and found that my heater is fogging up the windows. There is a very visible fog coming from the vents. I'm guessing it's anti-freeze.

I believe it's either a heater core issue, or a loose/cracked hose. Is there any way I can check this? I've heard a heater core isn't fun replacing, and is expensive. Any thoughts?

I once had a problem with the windows fogging up with the defrosters on and found it was because I had the "recirculating" mode engaged (as in summer air conditioning). Just thought I would mention it, but with visible vapor being emitted chances are it is more than damp air from inside the car.

That sounds like the good ole leaking heater core. If one of the tubes had slipped, you would be seeing lots of stuff under neath your car, and not fogging up your windows as much. The ehater core is a "simple" task (very sarcastic). It isn't that conplicated, you just have to take apart the dash to get to the heater box. The heater core itself is just a small radiator pretty much and runs for like 150 from IPD or like 100 from alloemvolvoparts.com...(same thing, IPD more expensive). Or you could be a crazy person and go to the dealer for the part, which costs 350-400. I got the one from IPD before I knew about alloemvolvoparts.com, but the heater core is very effective at heating. I think it is better than the original. I have gotten 161 F from my vents during the winter, no joke.
