Vapor/Smoke/Fog coming from heater 200 1991

It's that time of year in Minnesota, and found that my heater is fogging up the windows. There is a very visible fog coming from the vents. I'm guessing it's anti-freeze.

I believe it's either a heater core issue, or a loose/cracked hose. Is there any way I can check this? I've heard a heater core isn't fun replacing, and is expensive. Any thoughts?
