oxygen sensor help! 200 1984

i recently purchased an oxygen sensor for an 84 240 from fcpgrotons website. i received an oxygen sensor with one wire for its connection. i cant use it because i have two wires coming from my firewall for an oxygen sensor connection. i have no part number to go from because the car did not have an oxygen sensor when i purchased it. i can see that the exhaust manifold has a hole for the sensor to be installed in so i imagine its not the same part number as the sensor on my 1990 245 wagon because the wagons sensor is installed down by the converter. i can use any help you guys can give me because all the auto part shops in my area say the 84 240s use a single wire sensor. thats what they list but my car can not use it.

thanks in advance...................jorge santos

84's came both ways. California cars used the extra wires for the heater circuit. 49 state cars used a single wire sensor, and the other wires just hung there disconected. You can use the single wire sensor. It's cheaper too.
