Just wondering if any brain surgeons know if there are up grades on these units. Mine is a CA car with a '939' brain. I am having some problems which are giving me a diagnostic time. Primarily one of 'off the line' and I have gone through this beastie throughly. Just wondered if the CA cars with EGR drive differently than those for the other 49 states.

AFAIK Volvo's comparatively low sales volume in the states made it more practical to use one model instead of a special CA-spec model and a rest-of-the-country model. Thus, a CA car will be identical to any other of the same model & year.
