Rough running cold and bad gas milage 200 1984

Recently had a problem with the car stalling when letting off the gas and coming to a stop. I took the car into my mechanic and he fixed the problem by installing a rebuilt Air Mass Meter. Now in the morning when the engine is cold the enginge runs rough when you give it gas. It loads up and almost stalls. If I let it warm up a few minutes it runs fine. It only seems to do this when first started in the morning. Also since this AMM has been installed my MPG has dropped about 4 MPG. I have taken the car back to the mechanic but he can't find anything wrong. Could the AMM be bad? How can it be tested?

Hello,

The AMM does have an adjustment to it, to be performed only by a Volvo tech, and your o2 sensor could be caputski as well. The sign of a bad o2 sensor would also be accompanied by a slight dip in the idle when returning, or at random on it's own.

Happy Bricking!!!
