can a child booster seat be retrofitted to a 960?

My '96 960 is currently without one and little-one is growing out from the small cradle (2 years old :).

Is there a possibility to get one from an 850 installed as well, does it fit?

Anyone done it? Is the booster seat from the factory good and supportive for a child?

I may have the seats confused here, but if you are asking about the blue set -in booster seat (2 piece, bottom and back) that the dealers sell, they work very nicely for the larger children, but I would think a bit large for a 2 year old ( my 5 year old who is bigger than most 8 year olds, fit's nicely in it with room to grow ).
If you are needing an in-between seat, you may want to check out Britax

I was told by my daughter-in-law that the child must be 40 lbs to sit in a booster seat. There undoubtedly is a height minimum too.

FYI,
There is a Volvo label right on the seat that gives height and weight reccomendations.

I've seen removable OEM Volvo booster seats for sale on eBay. My '97 has an integrated child's booster, and I don't see any way to change it out w/o replacing the whole seat back. It is pretty slick.

My 94 965 has a booster seat integrated into the middle row seats. The bottom of the booster is the back rest for an adult in the middle seat. It fold out and down and is part of the left fold down back. Previous poster is correct about the 40lb min limit.
