Where is the ABS fuse on 740 turbo wagon? 700

In the manual it says its left of the steering wheel, underneath. I just took the panel down and couldn't find it. I need to disable the ABS because its going off all the time, for no reason. Yes I know one of the sensors is failing, but I don't have the money to get it repaired. I'd rather have it disabled. Can someone tell me exactly where it is?

Thanks

Yes I looked in the FAQ but it didn't say where the ABS is.

It is circled in yellow in the picture below, mounted on the inside of the right inner fender. The car is a 1987 744T with a 960 Coolant Reservoir.

Where is the ABS fuse on 740 turbo wagon? 700

I am a little late to this party. This a great picture.

I have a 92, 740 wagon, base. My ABS is always on. My speedo fluctuates, and my odometer is not working.

Putting the diagnostic probe into port 3 box A yields no codes at all (ABS).

First thought is the pickup in the differential. I looked at that, but it seemed fine. I will test soon.

My question is why would the ABS light always be on, no code thrown, even when not moving? It seems like if this was a diff pickup/sensor issue the light would come on once the vehicle started to move?

The speedo and ABS seems interrelated, and I'm just trying make sense of it.

      Thanks

The most common fault with ABS going off all the time is dirty sensors from brake ferrous metallic bits of rotor/pad sticking to the magnetic sensor.
The fix is usually only as expensive as a can of brake cleaner and pulling off your brake rotors (and calipers and wheel).

I hope you find the fuse! I have the same car but don't know where the fuse is.

    Good Luck

Where is the ABS fuse on 740 turbo wagon?

Is your car right-hand steer (RHS) or left-hand steer (LHS) If it is RHS, the fusebox will be located to the left of the steering wheel behind the center console ashtray. If LHS, it would still be behind the center console ashtray, but to the right of the steering wheel. In my 740 turbo, the ABS fuse is located on front edge of the fusebox.

Thanks for the reply. My car is left hand drive. I'm in Vancouver, Canada. Hmmm, the manual says its underneath left of the steering wheel. But i'll have another look, thanks.
