Heater Control Light Bulb Replacement, Slide Heater Controls 90' 740 700

I have the slider type heater controls on my 90' 740 and all the light bulbs are burned out. How do I go about replacing them. I have three Haynes for the various 740s/940s and a Chilton and none tell how to get to the light bulbs. The 740 has an AC and heater. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

lightly pry out the plastic trim that surrounds the key hole and the AC unit. be careful to not break anything, but you will need to use a bit of force. it'll pop off.

remove the 4 screws around the A/C. make sure they don't drop, and keep em safe. pull the unit forward gently. the bulb is on the left side. at this point, it should be pretty straight forward. you twist the fixture and remove the bulb thing.

:)

edit: drat, someone beat me to it! :P

the trim piece infront of the heater controls, which also holds the aerial and power sunroof switches and goes around the lock cylinder just pulls right out... then the heater control can be removed via 4? screws, the light bulb holder then just twists right out, and you can replace the bulb.... I believe it's a 194... although, you wont' be able to get the ones like the originals with that blue-green colour to it... you may be able to get a "HyperWhite" or blue bulb which will be closer than just a plain one..
