164 wiper-shaft grommets??? 140-160

Greetings All!!!
On my '71 164, (and '71 140's???), where the wiper-shafts pass
through the cowling, there are supposed to be circular rubber grommets
to seal the openings. I need a new pair. One dealer gave me part
#680011--WRONG. Another said #1213987--NOT. IPD lists #669796 for
1800's, but they say it will not swap to 164's.
Okay, anybody out there believe they have the correct #???
I'm listening.
Hope you all had a fine turkey-day.

Gary in Arizona.

164 wiper-shaft grommets??? 140-160

Greetings Again!!!
Thanx to Shayne & Kent for replying. I found the correct number
by slogging through the GCP web-site; 676662. What a clumsy set-up
GCP has!!! But I guess we have to be thankful for any crumbs of
help thrown our way; that's what we get for drivng museums on wheels.

164 wiper-shaft grommets???

Jim Fisher Volvo, Portland Oregon never gets it wrong. 800-283-0815. Ask for Glenn. I just got some of these for my Mommy's '69 145 a couple weeks ago (I think I threw out the receipt or I'd give you their part number).

164 wiper-shaft grommets??? 140-160 1972

Gary,

I had the same kind of problem with my '72. I had grommets there, but they were hard as iron and shriveled. So, I got out the clear silicone chaulking and "made" my own - just filled in the open spots. The patch has worked so far, but I'll be watching this post for an answer.

Kent
