Can anyone give me accurate rear mudflap dimensions and where the holes are. I want to cutdown some auto parts store ones to fit. Have a 1981 GLT Wagon w/no flaps in the rear. Are the fronts identical...maybe I can use one as a template. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for all the help given, Doug C. 81 242 Brick on Blocks, stock; 86 240, 129K, pictured in Rolling once, now has smashed left quarter panel thanks to the driver of an F150. Daughter safe in her Volvo.

In addition to the dimensions, you would need a way to add the VOLVO name, and the curvature of the top where it fit to the body. Fronts are easier, but different. Any recycle yards near you?

Check E-bay for Volvo mudflaps, front/rear are always available. The fronts could be cut from plain rubber, i.e. truck mud flaps. I like the VOLVO letters on white in the rear flaps which are unique to the older 240's....though you could still cut out the shape of the rear flaps in plain black rubber....
