Who Do you Recommend to Install my Engine Wiring Harness Next Week????? HELP!!! 200 1986

Sorry for bothering you guys with my engine wiring harness problems, but I have decided to purchase a new wiring harness. Can anyone recommend a reputable shop for the job in the Los Angeles area. My lease on my Jetta will be expiring and I am ready to roll with my 1986 240 Wagan. I love my Volvo!!!! The 240 body style is so timeless. Its my baby!!!! I hope it can get me back and forth to work. Please let me know which shop you recommend. Thanks for all of your help. This board is very very helpful!

    It's really not that hard. Lay the new wiring harness alongside the old one and do a one for one replacement. Save yourself aome money. You will need a few tools for the clamps, at least I did on my 740T. You will see there are four injector plugs which come up between the middle of the intake manifold, a couple in the head, the throttle stop switch and the oil pressue switch down low on the exhaust side.

    Do some practice runs and use colored tags or mail polish if necessary.

    Use an ohmmeter to check the connectors too.

      Except that the 240s have a narrower engine bay, meaning it will be loads easier if you pull off the well secured intake manifold. It's a shame that I only have one spare harness right now, since both of my 240s need one and the one with leaky front seals has the intake manifold off... oh well.

        When I lived in LA, I had pretty good luck with Mark's Independant Volvo in Canoga Park.

          Hi I live in the LA area Orange county, and I am a fellow Jetta 1.8turbo owner .. if you need any help installing the wire harness (25bux sound fair)? hehe im only a 30min drive away and replaced\rebuild my wireharness in my 84 244turbo email- uSoSexyBaby@hotmail.com
