the fuel system fuse 200 1987

where exactly does the wire from the fuel system fuse go after it leaves the battery terminal on a 1987 240 non-turbo? i had a brand new wiring harness installed and now the car will not start. all of the usual suspects were checked and rechecked. it seems that the engine is not getting any fuel. one thing i did notice after everything was buttoned up was the one fuel system wire that goes straight to the battery is totally missing. i know this may seem strange, but where should i look for this wire? thanks

If I am understanding your question correctly - the red wire from the battery terminal goes directly to the 25amp fuse holder, and from the holder it goes into the harness that gets it to the fuel system relay under the RH dash area near the ECU.

The holder itself goes bad, even with the fuse being OK. Take it apart and clean it. If it falls apart, you will see that the fuse plugs into pieces that plug into terminals on the wires. The fuse can be plugged directly into the tip terminals of the wires. It will work until you can replace the fuse holder. Look at Radio Shack first.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck,

Bob
