Quick question regarding compressors 700

Hello,

Will an AC compressor from a 90-92 740 fit my '85 turbo? How about one from an '86? Was there much of a difference in AC comps between the years of the 740?

I'm asking because there're several listed on Ebay, and I'm not sure which to go for. I'm looking mainly at these two:

and

Anyway. Thank you!

Quick question regarding compressors 700

BC-
I took another look and the pulley sure looks right. I would be surprised if that was not a real good compressor for your car and it is quite a buy, that Tama. Compare it with a new one for $200-250. I have had great luck with used ones.

Quick question regarding compressors 700

The first is a nice Tama and is the best. The second will also work but looks far more used. I freely pull any and all new looking 240 and 700 compressors and use them interchangeably.

Quick question regarding compressors 200

Rob -

What with Global Warming and personal ageing and all I don't think I can handle a third Houston summer with no a/c in my 1986 244GL.

I've no doubt that a new compressor is in order, at least a better one than what's in there now. The TAMA in the eBay pic looks a lot like the one I have, but I couldn't see the double pulley. Do you know it it will fit the car? Can the pulley be swapped if necessary?

Thanks, I appreciate your time,

Bob
