breather box location 700 1992

Hi.

Iam trying to check the breather box to see if it clogged due to the blue smoke coming from the exhaust. Where is this box located on my turbo wagon? i also want to make sure that thereis no flame trap installed on the car. Thanks.

ok I went and took a GOOD look and found it. It is buried between 3&4 cylinders. Now how do i remove the bigger hose? Is it just a matter of kind of twisting the hose? What about the smaller hose next to it?Should i just take the both of them off and check to make sure they are not clogged? And do the same for the the thing the hoses are connected too?

Go ahead and remove/inspect/clean the PCV hose that runs across the valve cover, small hose to the manifold, Y fitting, and short hose below it. All of these twist apart... just be gentle. Also remove & check the brass nipple on the manifold... apparently that get plugged sometimes.

The oil breather box, under all those hoses, is a bit more complicated to remove & check... start with the hoses & see how that goes.

There's a big section in the FAQ on all this, if you haven't checked that out already.

Let us know how it works out...

Yeah, you can pull those hoses off. Sometimes they have zip ties on them or something. Some shops do that. The hoses come off the same as a 240 flame trap hose or housing.
