my power locks don't work. I don't yet have service literature for this car --- wondering if there's an easy common fix for this. Sounds like the rear hatch solenoid tries to move when I lock/unlock the drivers side door... can't really hear any of the others but then again, I've got the cover panel off of the rear hatch and the door panels are still on all the doors... so they may very well be trying, I just can't hear them.

burnished relay contacts or another current limiting factor along the way (corroded fusebox, etc?) -- anything common for this type of PDL problem on these cars?

Hi Matt, its Dan again. Yes the 740s do have electrical problems but they are easy to fix if you take your time and not jump in with both feet. Buy a meter first and read how to use it first, if you hav'nt already. This sounds once again a bad relay. I have replaced the fule pump(s) relay, the overdrive relay,and repaired or replaced window switches and so on ,but again they are easy to work on. Good luck,Dan M.
