Nissens radiator 200 1985

Today I went to the junk yard and found which looked to be a very new Nissens 3rd row radiator. It's summer now and I live in AZ. I had a brand new radiator put in my volvo about 2 1/2 yrs. ago and it keeps the car very cool. They charge about $40 for the radiator. Since I don't see these 3rd row radiators very often does anyone think I should buy this one. Are they much better than the 2 row? Thx everyone.

If it truely is in good condition and you have a place to store it, there is no question. Buy it and keep it for the day you will need it.

If it looks like it's been sitting for a while with old coolant in it, just to be safe, have a local radiator shop boil it out and pressure test it.

Yes, typically the three row are better both for cooling and reliability against breakage at the filler neck.

Here in the Northeast, we rearly see good rads in the 'yard. Most show greenish stains on the fins somewhere. A sure sign of leakage.

Looks like you have yourself a "find" there.
