I need to replace a bent hood hinge on an 81 242. Does anyone know which years used the same hinge? Thanks in advance.

AFAIK they all swap. Lots of things were changed with the 1986+ body changes, so that one may have changed - do a more careful comparison.

I do know that in 1986 they installed a "helper" spring inside the main larger spring. If you are junkyard snoofing, score a pair of the springs - they are worth it.
