I replaced the A/C expansion valve but I am not sure about where to connect the sensor wire. 200

Hello all,

I finally got around to replacing the receiver drier and the expansion valve on my A/C system but I am not sure about where to place the temp probe that comes off of the valve.

The valve has two probes....one that connects to the evapoator out line but where should the other one go?

Also where should the temperature switch (rotary switch for temp control) sensor wire go. I saw an illustration in a A/C book show it next to the evaporator core but I am not sure if it goes before or after the core.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the pigtail? Mine was originally stuck inside the evaporator cover.
I remounted it to the outlet pipe of the evaporator. The suction line. It is in contact w/ the copper via zip ties.

I refilled my system w/ freeze 12. I did not change evaporator or condensor and I get 50-60 degree vent temp (w/ old needle thermometer) making short trips around town. These temps probably won't be possible as the deep south heats into the 90's and 100's. Or if they are I'll have to drive half an hour to cool it off,

BTW I also added a generic 14'' pusher fan.
