After changing out temp comp board from instrument cluster on '90240 DL discovered "left over" small spring about 3/4 to 1 in long. Duh, where does it go on the back of the instrument cluster? Thanks!

I think it could also be the return spring for the trip odometer reset button. Is the button broken off like about half the 240's these days? The spring could have gotten unhooked when it broke.

Sounds like it could only go on the service interval reset cable mechanism, assuming it is a coil spring.
