Fuel pump fuse? 700 1985

I have a 1985 745. I installed a new stereo today, and when I took a look at the fuses, I noticed the fuse for the in tank pump was blown. I replaced it and as soon as I started it up, it blew again. The car runs great and had the in tank fuel pump replaced about 4 months ago. Has anyone experienced this problem or know of a solution? How bad will leaving this fuse blown be?

First, I would guess that it hasn't been working since you had it replaced. Without it running, the normal symptoms are noisy main pump when below about a quarter of a tank. It will put under strain on the main pump, and last time I checked, there over $100. Probably shorted the wires putting the assembly back in the tank.
