Pictures in messages, how? 200 1981

How do you insert pictures into these messages? Can a picture in the gallery be made to appear in message? Tried cut and paste, can't figure it out. The pics probably take up a lot of space but they sure are helpful.

if you're just putting one picture up, at the bottom of the post form there is something that says "IMAGE URL" just type the location of the picture there wherever it is.

if you want multiple pictures, do it by typing in a bit of html. type in:

<img src="http://www.yourhost.com/yourpicture.jpg">

replace with the appropriate values of course.

for example, i have a picture located at http://www.crimetank.com/misc/woot.jpg

to put it in, i put in

<img src="http://www.crimetank.com/misc/woot.jpg">
and it shows up as thus:

but since it's one picture i could have just typed http://www.crimetank.com/misc/woot.jpg in the bottom of the page where it says "IMAGE URL"

hope that makes sense.

To have a picture appear in a post, you just need to include a line of HTML with the address of the picture. Photos in the gallery work the same way, but you just need the URL included in the gallery info.

The HTML looks like this:

{img src="http://www.hudsonjewelrydesign.com/volvo/broken_lamp.jpg"}{/img}

Just replace the squiggly brackets {} with pointy brackets <>

Result is:

For a gallery image, the HTML looks like this:

{img src='/GALLERY/images/1746.jpg'}{/img}

(pointy brackets needed again to make it work)

Result is:

I agree with you... photos included in posts are very helpful.
