I was looking to buy some parts on line and was asked "what chassis range do the car belong to" where do I find this info? is it in the VIN number or is it somewhere else?

I believe he is refering to the last three digits of the VIN number. Here is a web site which has a section telling about the VIN and other label information. On the left side of the page, go down and click on "Vehicle ID", then select your car model.

The chassis # is located on one of the info plates on the car,on the 960 it's the one in the engine compartment but i dont remember which line it was,if i find out I'll get back to you.
