1/2 Illuminated Pwr. Window Switch Cluster? 900 1995

Hi: Have a 1995, 940 with power windows.

On the drivers door, on the left arm rest is the power window switch cluster (5 switches). At night and when the interior is dark and the headlights are on, the front left and front right window switches are illuminated. However, the switches for the rear left, and rear right, and the rear window swith lockout are not illuminated.

Is this correct? Or should all 4-5 switches on this switch cluster be illuminated or just the 2 for the front windows. Thank you ...

Wow - I didn't know the later models even had illuminated window switches. My '93 945t, which is loaded with every option, doesn't. I guess they must have had a design change for the last year of production....

That is correct, the two driver controlled switches for the rear windows do not illuminate. The individual door window stitches are illuminated too.

But aren't the headlights always on?
