Three swithces on condenser. 900 1993

Somwone clue me in. What are they for? They all look like a typical pressure switch and are in a row on the bottom of my 940s ac condenser. I guess on is the high cut. The low cut is up by the accumulator. What are these for?

Bill

You are correct on the high limit switch, the others control the fan for the radiator. High and low speed controls.

With the Volvo book I have, I am assuming that the diagram is looking at the front of the car the switches are facing you. It is hard to tell from the drawing. From left to right, #1 is the a/c pressure switch, #2 is pressure switch engine coolant fan 1/2 speed(which is the everday normal speed), #3 is pressure switch engine coolant fan full speed (acctivates only under extreme system pressure or when there is a risk of overheating.

Hope this helps.
