Picked that comment from the archives...the black tail piece actually functions as a resonator. It is not so much double walled pipe as it is a chamber. I have replaced mine twice. Going for the third, I discovered the piece was discontinued by Volvo. I'd like to mount a new OEM piece to the kit I just bought from a dealer. Anyone know of a supplier who specializes in obsolete Volvo parts? A dealer gave me the name Swedish Solutions, but could not find them on the web.

I have no info to offer but I would be most interested in knowing more about exhaust systems for the B234F. I had assumed that the system on my car was pretty much stock bit it does not have a double walled tail piece, just a rusting out curved pipe.

If the original equipment is truely optimized for the engine, then I will just get a stock system when the time comes. But I would like take the opportunity to upgrade to a system that allows better breathing and perhaps sounds more mellow. So if you have find out about any nice systems please post the info here.
