Anyone have reccommendations for matching engine block paint (red). I have read (here) about using plasticote #206, but is that an engine paint?

Thanks

Vroom, if you want the exact block color look for Tempo Volvo Red,
#TEM 020472. It is marine engine paint, and you might find it a local marine supply store. If not you can order it from the shipstore.com. It is quality stuff, and an exact match.

Platicote Ford red is close, but it might be a little too orange. Seymours Hi-Tech Ford red is supposed to be quite close.

I use Rustoleum - I think it is "Regal Red". I usually put it over
their "rusty metal primer" which also works well on clean metal.
It stands engine heat OK, but not exhaust heat. In other words,
paint your exhaust manifold with something else.
