Mystery part on CIS intake manifold 140-160 1974

I wonder if anyone knows what this solenoid-looking thingy near the idle adjustment screw is supposed to do. One of the two connectors is routed to ground, the other is not connected. I think maybe it has something to do with rpm adjustment as the A/C engages, but am not sure. Would like to know how to hook it up correctly.

Thx,
Kåre

It is an air bleed falve to speed up the idle when you turn the A/C on so the
engine doesn't stall under the load. You could probably hook it up to
the same line that feeds the A/C compressor clutch.

Thank you, George. I presume the solenoid should stay energized all the time the A/C is running, and not just as it engages. If that's the case it should, as you say, be very easy to tap off the power to the A/C clutch.

Thanks,
Kåre
