740 ignition failure solved: crank position sensor bad 700 1991

I agree. I picked up an 89 745 for pretty cheap because it would occasionally just die. Restarted and ran fine, it just wanted a break. Several large donations to a local european vehicle specialist made no impact. I bought it, found my answer here on brickboard, and $26.95 for a new crank position sensor fixed it. That was a couple years and 35000 miles ago....
