power steering reservoir 200 1988

The power steering reservoir in my '88 240 is always "wet"
I'm thinking the gasket inside the cap has just gotten old
and has thinned out and is not sealing very well.
Any suggestions on what type material to use to create a new
gasket or maybe a premade gasket that is available?
Thanks,
Greg

To cure this on my 88 245 I wrapped the reservoir cap threads clockwise with four or five rounds of teflon tape,a cheap fix, almost as cheap as resoldering relays.

Andy,
Thankyou. I'll give that a try.
Hopefully, the p.steering fluid won't eat the tape.

The tapes not melted by the fluid but it does get really limp, maybe 10 rounds would do the trick, I've had this working for well over a year. Good luck.
