I'VE GOT A 1992 940 TURBO AND THE "LT OUT" ON THE INSTR CLUSTER COMES ON WHEN I SIGNAL AND/OR BRAKE. ALL MY LAMPS ARE FINE AND OPERATIVE. I'M TRYING TO CHECK DOWN THE PROBLEM TO THIS NUISANCE. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Lamps of a different brand or age can confuse the bulb failure relay. Any difference in current-draw between two lamps on the same circuit will cause the bulb-failure light to come on. This has happened to me when I replace a lamp with an old but otherwise good lamp.

Try replacing both brake lamps with new ones of the same brand.

it is one of the bulbs in the back, or braking would not activate teh warning lamp.

See the 700/900 FAQ. Sometimes, an about-to-fail bulb will cause this, as will corroded sockets or grounds.
