This is the first time I have received a timing belt with marks on it.It has 3 marks to use for lining up timing.One of the marks has to lines,don't know why it has 2 lines.Can anyone help? Thanks,Charlie

I asked only because I was annoyed when someone took and then posted (without first asking) one of my images from my digital camera and edited with Photoshop.

The double mark is for the crank, but the engine has plenty of timing marks so the belt marks are superfluous. Anyway, the double does not sit on the crank mark but marks the tooth of the belt that would meet the gear at the mark if it were not yet at TDC (ie if the belt and gear were in contact just before TDC. Kind of hard to explain, there are plenty of posts here on timing.
