Another Tach Question! 200

Okay, we hooked up a wire from the coil to the tach on the 1 postion, the only one on the bottom, and the tach didnt budge. Does it need to be grounded? Thanks, BRett

where can i find a tach gauge? And how would i reach the wires? i guess you would have to pull off the dashboard. Is there a DIY anywhere one the net?

By actually fitting it into the circuit board you ground it. I'm guessing you were looking at it out of the board?

Tach needs to hook up to the negitive terminal on your coil. I don't know if it's #1 or not, just make sure it's negitive. What's the year of the 240? There's quite a difference between cars made after '81 when it comes to hooking up a tach.
