If you don't find what you need in the bone yard try your local Volvo club or EBAY.

    Good luck

    Steve

gauges, where to buy 200 1990

Bone-yard, if your lucky. Most of the gauges I used to see at the yards end up on Ebay. Every once in a while I will luck out and find a rare gauge at the yard. If I need it I use it or give it to a Volvo Friend. If not, well you guessed it, I EBAY it. I think I will keep my current setup the way I have it that is unless I find something better at the bone-yard. Good Luck!

Ever find an ambient temperature gauge (F.)? 200 1990

If you ever find a working combination of ambient temperature gauge (in F.) and its sender, let me know -- I'll be interested in making an offer.

Ever find an ambient temperature gauge (F.)? 200 1990

I must say that Cbolts Ambient Temp Gauge looks great and for $50 it has to be the "FIND OF A LIFETIME". I have seen used ambient temp gauges in F go for over $100-150 on Ebay. I actually have a ambient temp gauge in F but I lost the sender and wiring. I must have misplaced it somewhere cause when I had got it I left everything together in the same bag. Either that or one of My so-called Volvo bubs may have snagged it. I'm usually nice about my Volvo stuff with my friends. They are always around to help so I share when I can. I was going to sell the gauge, sender, wiring, etc. as a bundle a couple of weeks ago but I could not find the sender or wiring (also I was too busy to look hard enough for them) and the buyer lost interest. If your interested in the gauge make an offer. If the offer is good enough then we can make a deal off-line. If the offer is too low for my taste then you will have to keep looking. If you want a picture of the gauge shoot me an e-mail off line. I'm still looking for the wiring and sender but I know that you can purchase a VDO sender from NAPA. Maybe I will go that route and make the wiring myself so I can see the gauge. I really like the gauge but my wife is pushing me to sell my extra gauges. Take Care!

        Sincerely,

Ever find an ambient temperature gauge (F.)? 200 1990

I lucked out and got my NOS Fahrenheit ambient temperature gauge kit for $50 plus shipping. I'd been looking for one for a couple of years, and expected to pay more.

Ever find an ambient temperature gauge (F.)? 200 1990

Radio Shack sells a $15 ambient air temperature gauge. It includes a voltmeter, so you get two data points for one price. Sure, it doesn't look OEM, if you care about cosmetics. It's black, and about 1-inch high by 3-inches long, reads indoor and outdoor temp. The sensor wire is about ten feet long. I ran the sensor through the firewall orifice and attached it with zip ties near the horn, to get temp near wheel wells. Power comes from either AAA battery, or cig lighter adapter from car's 12 v system. I cut that wire and hard wired into the fuse panel. Up here in the north country we get a lot of freezing -- or colder -- weather. It's nice to know when you're approaching freeze point for black ice potential, etc. I have a dash-mounted compass, too, further emphasizing that gauge fetish mirrors middle-agedness. Unless you're into engine performance gauges, which simultaneously measure hormone levels. chris in vermont 244, 765, 940, r100rs, etc.

You've got the same gauges I have waiting for my next 245, except my oil temp and ambient temp are both in farenheit. The complete oil temp gauge kit came with my last 245. I got lucky a couple of weeks ago and bought the ambient kit new in the box.

      I've got a brand-new oil pressure gauge and sender 200 1990

Hi. I've got a brand-new oil pressure gauge and matching sender, including a "right angle" connector for the sendor to the block. I have it from a "GT" or "Rallye Sport" instrument cluster that is "new in box" for my '75. I haven't installed it yet, and I'm looking to swap the oil pressure gauge for an ambient temperature gauge (in F.) that I haven't been able to find yet.
I care less about oil pressure because (1) I can still rely on the "idiot light" and (2) I use synthetic oil, which I have a lot of faith in. Yes, I know purists would insist, but if M-B (my other cars) can swtich from oil pressure gauge to idiot light, I can BETTER use an ambient temp gauge (since my '75 dash doesn't have any other good places for a gauge (which is why I bought the GT cluster, so I'll have a real voltmeter, tach, etc.).
Anyway, I'd be interested in selling my oil pressure gauge to recoup some cash if and when I can find an ambient temp gauge.
Keep me in mind, and get back to me in a few weeks.

        I should add.... 200 1990

I just thought that I should add...
The style of the Rally Sport instruments is not the same as the "usual" Volvo instruments -- these have their scale on the right side. That is, instead of an arc for the scale running across the top, from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock, these gauges have an arc from 1 o'clock to 5 o'clock.
        Keep that in mind.

More importantly the sender is not the same either. It is, IIRC, a 10bar sender (and gauge).
