Price of 123GT's 120-130 1967

Hey everyone.
I've found a '67 123GT for sale, and just curious what the going rate is on them these days. The car has the Canadian logo on the back, i dunno if that's special or not. Condition wise, it's one of the nicest ones i've seen. The only visible damage is a paint discoloration on the drivers side read wheel well. No rust anywhere, including the floors and headlight areas. It's sat for a year or more, so it'll need (hopefully minor) maintenance items. I'm going to look at it again on tuesday, so anything i need to look at specifically? I know the car has been well maintained all it's life by a volvo enthusiast, unfortunately, he passed on a few years ago, and his wife/son are selling the car. Any help and info is great!!!
Thanks everyone!

A good, verifiable 123GT is worth serious cash. Close perhaps to a good 1800. I have seen nice ones go north of US$6500.

That doesn't mean the seller knows this. An ordinary 122S (even one tarted up with GT bits) is worth about half that.

Others here will tell you how to identify a true GT.

I'm sure this one is a real GT. It has won numerous "best in show" awards at local car shows. He's asking $10,000 canadian, which i'm thinking is a little high, but almost fair.
What should i offer?

If it's really, truly rust free and mechanically sound, I'd say ballpark $6500 US, maybe a tad higher. My impression is that there were a lot more Canadian GTs produced than Swedish ones, but I've never been able to come up with production figures for either. They also typically don't have the factory driving lights and the cool (although not terribly functional) wing mirrors.

(Evan, you can't get a decent 122S for half that anymore... or if you can, snap it up quick.)
