rear view mirror change 200

Hi

My right side mirror (electrical powered), respectively the plastic housig had a slight crack...that crack growed and now it got a beautiful hole. Now I have the chance to get (both) electrical powered mirrors out of a 1984 245. My 245 is from 1989. Are those mirrors compatible...I mean is that a plug and play installation concerning cables and mounting points or is there something to consider if changing the mirrors, except the different desogn of the mirrors itself?

Thanks for any input

MP

They should be compatible.

I went the other way with my 83 245 and put on 86 or later mirrors and it was quite simple. The hardest part was beacause the 83 and 84 have the extra moulding I had to reduce the flange on the back of the mirror for it to sit right.

I also installed the power mirrors on the 84 and that also was plug and play. Just be sure you have the harnesses and toggle switches. I mounted my switches in the stock position on the handbrake console. Others like them on the dash someplace.

Once you start to open them up you'll see how easy it is.

Good luck.
