Grade 8 is an SAE designation. The Metric equivalent of grade 8 is ISO 10.9. The last factory hitch that I looked at had ISO 8.8 bolts, which would grade out to 5 on the SAE scale.

And yes, I'd buy the bettter bolts. The supply house I got mine from last time only carried the 10.9.
